What is Cosmetic Dentistry for Seniors?
Cosmetic Dentistry on Senior Citizens is one my favorite things to do for multiple reasons.
- Often people of this age have gone through a life time of poorly done dentistry. Their teeth are often worn down and chipped, almost every tooth has multiple fillings in them. They often don’t realize how far dentistry has come in their lifetimes and I’m excited to change their perceptions and give them beautiful healthy teeth that will keep them chewing and smiling to the end of their days.
- For many seniors a lot of the physical activities and joys we could do when we were younger become impossible. But one of the greatest joys in life comes from laughing and eating and enjoying food and the company of others. When ones teeth are broken down, people lose the ability to chew and lose the ability to smile. Don’t let this happen to you. It doesn’t have to be this way, I can help!
Does Cosmetic Dentistry for Seniors mean dentures?
NO! My goal is to try and keep you out of dentures. Look at the teeth in the photos below. In many dental offices he would be destined for dentures because some dentists don’t know how to do smile makeovers or full mouth rehabs. I was able to save this man’s teeth and give him a beautiful smile.

Am I too old to fix my teeth and smile?
NO! Are you breathing? Are you still alive? If you are, then you deserve to smile, chew and BE HEALTHY! Having broken teeth and gum infections is not just bad for your teeth, but your whole body! Having a healthy smile and mouth, will not only look better but make you healthier and likely live longer.
Are you telling me my broken teeth are unhealthy? They don’t hurt!
As one ages the nerves in our teeth shrink, so they are less likely to feel pain. Also gum disease, the # 1 reason a person loses all their teeth, almost NEVER hurts. If you have tooth pain, you probably should have gotten the tooth problem fixed 5+ years ago. BUT even though it may not physically cause pain, it is still hurting your body. It’s been known for years now how mouth infections and gum disease are related to heart disease, diabetes and cognitive dysfunction as we get older.
So it’s not just about getting pretty teeth?
Correct! When ever I make a beautiful smile I make sure that it is healthy, will last a long time and is functioning properly. That’s the great thing about Cosmetic Dentistry for Seniors, it’s about beauty AND HEALTH.

My teeth are REALLY bad, I’m pretty sure I’ll need dentures. Do you do dentures?
As you can see in the photos above, I can often fix teeth that some would think were too badly damaged to fix. BUT sometimes it does come to a point in which the teeth can’t be saved and we have to replace them. When it comes to that we usually replace them with dental implants, and even when we do dentures we make sure they look beautiful and natural.
